On February 1, 2008 the Gaudet Family heard the now famous catch phrase, "Good morning, Gaudet family!" as Ty Pennington and the Extreme Makeover: Home Edition design team informed them that they had been selected to receive an extreme home makeover.

The ABC Television Program chose a family from Mobile, Alabama. The home that was chosen was located within a mile of the ACE production facility. After being contacted by the designers at ABC’s Extreme Makeover: Home Edition ACE Fabrication agreed to build the custom counters for the new kitchen in the Gaudet’s home. It was an exciting occasion for the entire team at ACE Fabrication.

The team led by Robin Stewart, Emily Stewart, and Woodrow Stinson worked tirelessly to meet the strict production and installation requirements for the home, which had to be built and occupied within seven days. The equipment was installed at 5:00 a.m. while the area was under a National Weather Service Tornado Warning and the sirens were going off. The ACE team was brought back to the mostly completed home to prepare and polish the counters less that one hour before the crowd screamed “Move that bus!” As a company, ACE Fabrication was delighted to contribute to such a welcome cause. As you may imagine there were plenty of giving hearts and joyous tears from the local community as we watched this family receive their dream home.
